It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew Wayne Stover, who left us far too soon on September 30, 2026. Born on May 15, 1987, in the small town of Robson, West Virginia, Matthew grew into a remarkable man who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Matthew dedicated his life to the service of others as a healthcare worker. His compassion and commitment to helping those in need were evident in every compassionate interaction he had with patients and colleagues. His gentle nature and unwavering dedication to his work left an indelible mark on the community he served so selflessly.
Matthew's journey was deeply enriched by the love he shared with his partner, Ronald Keffer, and the joy of fatherhood with his beloved son, Triston Stover. The love they shared brought light into Matthew's life, illuminating even the darkest days.
Family was at the heart of Matthew's world. He was the cherished son of Matt and Laura Stover, who instilled in him the values of kindness and generosity. He found strength and camaraderie in his sisters, Jessie Stover and Savannah Odell, who stood by him through every triumph and challenge.
Though preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesse and Ora Stover, and maternal grandparents, Rose and Jack Johnson, Matthew carried their legacy of love and resilience forward. Their memories will continue to guide and inspire the family.
Matthew's life was tragically cut short in a car accident, reminding us of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment. He was engaged in what brought him joy, surrounded by love, when he left this world, offering some solace in this difficult time.
