Matthew Horrom

May 13, 1969 — April 14, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew Horrom, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and a steadfast friend, who departed this world on April 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Matthew, known fondly as Matt, was born on May 13, 1969, in the charming town of Laramie, Wyoming, to the late Dan and Rhoda Horrom, who preceded him in death. Matt's journey through life was marked by love, faith, and an unwavering dedication to his family and community. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jennifer, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage since March 20, 1999, and their treasured daughter, Johanna. He is also survived by his sister, Marty Fuller, and her husband, Robert, along with 15 nieces and nephews, two great-nieces, and a great-nephew. Matt found his professional calling in the construction industry, beginning his career at his father-in-law's company soon after Johanna was born. His passion for computers and his keen intellect led him to excel as an expert estimator. His career path took him to BlueScope Construction in Kansas City in 2017, where he thrived for seven years before transitioning to Fleming Construction Group. Matt considered himself blessed to have worked alongside wonderful colleagues in each of these companies, always eager to learn and grow. Matt's faith was a guiding light throughout his life. He was raised in the church and carried that foundation with him, becoming an active member of Littleton Bible Chapel and later, alongside Jenn, joining Skyview Presbyterian Church in Centennial, Colorado. His devotion extended to Cornerstone Presbyterian in Kansas City during their time there. He was excited to rejoin Skyview upon their return to Denver. Matt found joy in volunteering and contributing to numerous church activities, where his quiet faith spoke volumes. A history enthusiast, Matt immersed himself in the study of American and military history, finding joy in reading and building historically accurate model planes. His creativity and skill also shone through in his involvement with Johanna's theater productions at Front Range Christian School, where his set designs left a lasting impression. Above all, Matt was a man who loved deeply. His faith, though often quiet, was profound and inspiring, and his love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He cherished every moment spent with Jenn and Johanna, making each project a family endeavor and creating a legacy of love and togetherness. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Matt's life will be held on April 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Skyview Presbyterian Church, located at 251 E Sterne Blvd, Centennial, CO 80122. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Matt's name to Camp Elim, a place close to his heart, via this link, or to support the Front Range Christian School Theater Department. Matt's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and love during this difficult time. For those wishing to support Jennifer and Johanna financially, an Amazon wishlist is available at this link, or contributions can be sent via Venmo @Jenn-Horrom. As we say goodbye to Matt, we hold onto the memories of his gentle spirit, his unwavering faith, and his boundless love. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him.
