February 10, 1973 — July 28, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew Allen Creekmoore, who left this world peacefully in his sleep on July 28, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on February 10, 1973, in Booneville, Kentucky, Matt was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His unexpected departure leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. Matt was the cherished son of the late Elizabeth and Bob Allen Creekmoore, who predeceased him. Though his parents have left this world, their legacy of love lives on through Matt and his surviving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Linzzy Creekmoore, whose love and support were the bedrock of his life. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Jacob, Elizabeth, and Matty Creekmoore, who were his pride and joy. His daughter Elizabeth blessed him with his first grandson, bringing immense joy and a newfound depth of love to his life. Matt was also a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, who brought laughter and light into his days. A proud veteran, Matt served for four years as a tank commander in the 48th Brigade of the United States Army. He carried his sense of duty and camaraderie from his military service into his civilian life, where he founded "Matt’s Father and Son’s Construction." A skilled carpenter, Matt was a "jack of all trades" who found joy in building and creating. His work was not just a career but a testament to his dedication and craftsmanship. Matt was known for his infectious humor and kind spirit. A true goofball, his laughter was contagious, and he had a unique ability to lift the spirits of those around him. He was a gentle soul who always encouraged others to be kind and forgiving, understanding that these virtues make the world a better place. His passion for life extended beyond his work; he found solace in the woods and enjoyed tinkering with old cars, hobbies that allowed him moments of peace and reflection. The family will honor Matt’s life with a service on August 1, 2026, at 6:30 PM, held at St. John’s Baptist Church, First Church of Christ, located at Highway 708 East, Beattyville, Kentucky. We invite all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Matt's generous and giving nature. As we say goodbye to Matt, we hold onto the memories and lessons he shared, knowing that while time may slow, it never truly ends. His journey continues in the hearts of those he touched, and his spirit will forever guide us. Rest in peace, dear Matt; you are loved and missed beyond measure.
