Born on June 19, 2008, in Hartington, Nebraska, Mason left this life peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Mason was the cherished son of Rick and Julie Krause, who preceded him in death alongside his siblings Jennifer, Justin, Katelyn, and Riley, and his beloved girlfriend, Justyce Sohl. Though his years were few, Mason's life was full of vibrant energy and warmth, touching the hearts of all who knew him. An enthusiastic and dedicated student, Mason attended Hartington Newcastle High School, where he was not only a diligent learner but also an outstanding athlete. His towering presence was felt on the football field, basketball court, and track, where he poured his heart into every game and meet. Mason's love for sports was infectious, and he inspired his peers with his dedication and sportsmanship. Beyond his athletic prowess, Mason was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, a place where he found community and solace. His faith and the church community played a vital role in shaping his kind-hearted and generous nature. Known for his towering height and remarkable athleticism, Mason was a beacon of kindness to those who showed him the same respect. His integrity and warmth made it impossible not to be drawn to him, whether on the field or off. Mason cherished spending time with his girlfriend, Justyce, and friends, always seeking joy and laughter in their company. A celebration of Mason's life will be held on April 17, 2026, at 10:27 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 106 W Centre Street. Family, friends, and all whose lives Mason touched are invited to join in honoring his memory and the wonderful life he led.
