Born on February 4, 1956, in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, Maryland departed this world on July 18, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Maryland was the beloved daughter of the late Jhon and Mary, who instilled in her the values of compassion and service that she carried throughout her life. She was a devoted sister, a loving mother to Danah Brooks and Marcus Brooks, and the proud grandmother of two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her days. Maryland's family was her greatest treasure, and she found immense happiness in spending time with her grandchildren, creating countless precious moments filled with laughter and love. A widow, Maryland's strength and resilience were evident in the way she navigated life's challenges with grace and dignity. Her sweet nature and helpful spirit endeared her to all who knew her. Maryland was a woman of great faith, actively participating in her local Baptist church community. Her involvement in various church activities exemplified her commitment to her beliefs and her desire to help others find peace and joy. Retired and enjoying her well-deserved leisure time, Maryland filled her days with the company of her beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She had an innate ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved, and her warm smile could brighten even the cloudiest of days. Maryland's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. Her unwavering devotion to her loved ones and her community will be remembered by all who had the honor of crossing paths with her. Though she has left this world, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Maryland's life and legacy. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Baptist Church's community outreach program, a cause close to her heart. As her family reflects on the remarkable woman Maryland was, they take comfort in the special message they wish to share with all who knew her: "Will never be forgotten."
