Mary passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of her family. Her passing was due to complications from surgery, as she courageously faced organ failure with grace and dignity. Mary was born on July 4, 1943, in the sun-drenched city of Fort Lauderdale, where her journey began as the cherished daughter of Joseph Williams. From early on, Mary exemplified a spirit of resilience and kindness, qualities that would define her throughout her life. Her commitment to family and community was unwavering, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting those she loved. Mary's life was a testament to strength and dedication. As a single mother, she raised four remarkable children, providing them with a foundation of love, wisdom, and compassion. Her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, warmth, and the aroma of her delicious cooking—a place where everyone felt welcomed and cherished. Mary's legacy extends far beyond her role as a mother. She was a proud grandmother to 20 grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to 25 great-grandchildren. Each of them was touched by her gentle spirit and her ability to make everyone feel special. Her love was a guiding light in their lives, and her memory will forever be cherished in their hearts. Beyond her family, Mary was an active member of her community and a faithful servant of the Lord. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found great joy in worshiping with her church family at St. Baptist Church. Her compassionate nature and her unwavering faith inspired those around her, leaving an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know her. A celebration of Mary's life will be held on April 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Baptist Church, located at 7851 Riviera Blvd, Miramar, Florida 33023.
