It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Sisco on March 31, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her cherished family and friends. Born on July 22, 1945, in Alton, Missouri, Mary graced the world with her presence for 80 beautiful years, leaving a lasting legacy of kindness, compassion, and strength.
Mary was predeceased by her loving parents, her devoted husband John Sisco, and her brother Gary Sisco, whose memories she cherished deeply. She is survived by her beloved children, Tina Bates, Patty Patterson, Andy Sisco, and Randy Sisco, who each carry forward her spirit of generosity and warmth. Her sister Janet was not only her sibling but her lifelong confidante and friend. In her later years, Mary found companionship and joy with her special friend, Boyd Bates, who stood by her side, offering comfort and laughter.
Her legacy is further carried by her eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life, and in whom Mary found endless delight and pride. She was their beloved "Grandma Mary," a title she wore with utmost pride and joy. Her love enveloped her family, and her wisdom was a guiding light through life's many challenges and celebrations.
Mary's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and courage. She was a woman of great strength, who never hesitated to extend her hand to those in need, offering support and friendship. Her home was a sanctuary, a place where laughter echoed through the halls and the door was always open to friends and family alike.
A service to honor and celebrate Mary's life will be held on April 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Clary's Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to gather to share memories and say a final farewell to this remarkable woman who touched the lives of all who knew her.
As we bid farewell, we remember Mary not only for her enduring love and kindness but for the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Her spirit will live on in the stories we share, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity close to Mary's heart, ensuring that her legacy of compassion and giving continues to inspire future generations.
Mary Sisco's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, and service. Though she may have left this earthly plane, her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her. Rest in peace, dear Mary, knowing that your life was a gift to us all.
