Mary Russ

Mary Russ, a beacon of love, compassion, and unity, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 2, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, Mary lived a life full of warmth and kindness that touched everyone she encountered. The daughter of Thomas and Anna Stanic, Mary was instilled with values of love and unity from a young age. She carried these virtues throughout her life, becoming a cherished matriarch to her family and a beloved friend to many. A true testament to her character, Mary brought peace and comfort wherever she went. Her gentle spirit and unwavering compassion were a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. Mary was predeceased by her devoted husband, Stanley George Russ; her dear daughter, Joy; her sister, Karen McCallie; and six other beloved siblings. She joins her parents, Thomas and Anna Stanic, in eternal rest. She is survived by her cherished children: Fay Spanos, Jean Mitchell, Neil Russ, and Dean Russ, along with his wife, Linda Zahrndt. Her legacy also lives on in her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her enduring spirit of love and unity. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Mary's life, celebrating the profound impact she had on her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, a gesture that reflects Mary's giving nature and dedication to helping others. Though she has departed from this world, Mary's spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, reminding us all of the power of love, kindness, and togetherness. Her memory will be cherished forever, and her life celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
