Born on September 25, 1945, in the charming town of Apalachicola, Florida, Mary was the beloved daughter of Charles and Alberta Jenkins. Her journey through life was marked by devotion to her family, warmth, and an indomitable spirit that touched everyone around her. Mary's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She found her lifelong partner in Ray Marvin Nappier, whom she married on October 28, 1967, in South Carolina. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering support over 58 wonderful years. Mary was a devoted wife, and her dedication to her family was unparalleled. A proud graduate of Chapman High School in Apalachicola, Mary excelled in her studies and graduated with honors. She chose the noble path of a homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her family. Her children, Ray Brian Nappier and Ericka Renee Nappier, were her pride and joy. She was also a doting grandmother to Daryl Thomas Spencer III and Rebecka Lynn Spencer, whom she adored with all her heart. Mary was known for her kindness, loyalty, and the warmth she extended to everyone she met. Her homemade biscuits were legendary, a testament to her culinary skills and her desire to bring comfort and happiness to those she loved. Her home was a haven of love and laughter, a place where family and friends gathered to create cherished memories. Mary's gentle spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by her husband, Ray, her children, her grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and family will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. A celebration of Mary's life will be held on September 30, 2026, at the Apalachicola Chestnut Cemetery, located at 92 Avenue East, Apalachicola, Florida. Friends and family will gather to honor a life beautifully lived and to say their final goodbyes to a remarkable woman whose legacy will continue to inspire. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mary's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of giving and love for her community.
