Her family was her greatest treasure, and she found immense happiness in their company, often gathering them together to share in her love for good food and cherished memories. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Leora Smith Mack and O. D. Mack Sr.; her cherished son, Derrick Dywane Stemley; and her siblings, Pearli Mae White (Walter), Hardy C. Mack (Diana), Robert Lee Mack, O. D. Mack Jr. (Joyce), and Willie Earl Mack (Willie Jean). Each of these losses deeply touched her, yet she continued to embody resilience and strength, drawing comfort from the enduring bonds of family. Mary's surviving family includes her devoted sisters, Katherine Stemley, Joann Reid, and Ollie Mae Woodard, who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
