In Loving Memory of Marylou Glaspy Sunrise: October 29, 1944 – Sunset: October 11, 2026 Celebrating 81 Years of Love, Faith, and Beautiful Memories With hearts full of love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Marylou Glaspy, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this earthly life on October 11, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on October 29, 1944, Marylou was a proud woman of Benton Harbor, Michigan. She was the beloved daughter of Robert H. Clark Sr. and Minnie Lou Clark. She grew up surrounded by a large family, sharing her life with eight sisters—Deotha Clark-Anderson, Mildred Clark-Wilburn, Annette Clark, Elvinia Clark, Victoria Clark, Gloria Clark-Caldwell, Izena Clark, and Roshell McAfee-Clark—and five brothers—Robert Trigger Clark Jr., Calvin Clark, Terrone Duck Clark, Donald McAfee-Clark, and Adam Clark. Marylou lived a life defined by love, hard work, family, and the countless ways she showed up for the people she loved. Her life was a blessing to those who knew her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Those She Leaves to Cherish Her Memory Marylou leaves behind a loving family, including her beloved children: Willie Glaspy, Antonio and Sheree Glaspy, Troy Glaspy, Lisa Williams, Jami and Doretha Ghani, Frederick and Amy Glaspy, and Darrick Glaspy. She also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, who will forever treasure the memories, love, and lessons she shared with them. Marylou played an important role in helping raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, giving them care, guidance, and a foundation of love that will continue through generations. Though words cannot fully express the pain of losing someone so special, her family can find comfort in knowing that the love Marylou gave will continue to live on through every generation she helped shape. A Woman of Love and Dedication Marylou was an amazing woman whose love for her family went far beyond words. Her family was a special part of who she was, and she showed her love through her actions, her sacrifices, and the care she gave to those closest to her. Through everyday moments, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely, Marylou helped create a legacy that will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the generations that follow. Anyone who knew Marylou knew that she had a special touch in the kitchen. Cooking was one of the things she was known for, and the meals she prepared were another way she showed love to the people around her. Food has a way of bringing families together, creating memories, and making people feel at home. Marylou's love for cooking made those moments even more special, and the memories of gathering around her food will remain close to her family's hearts. Marylou was also known for her stylish way of dressing. She took pride in her appearance and had a unique sense of style that made her stand out. Her fashionable ways were part of her personality and another reason she will always be remembered as the remarkable woman she was. A Life of Hard Work and Service Marylou understood the importance of hard work and took pride in the work she did. She worked as a dietitian at Shoreham Terrace in St. Joseph, Michigan, where she served others through her work. She also worked as a hotel housekeeper, demonstrating her dedication, determination, and strong work ethic. Her years of service reflected the hardworking woman she was. She built a life through dedication and perseverance while continuing to make her family an important part of her journey. Marylou's legacy is not measured only by the years she lived, but by the lives she touched, the family she helped raise, and the memories she leaves behind. A Final Farewell Today, we celebrate Marylou Glaspy—not only for the 81 years she spent on this earth, but also for the love she gave, the work she accomplished, the family she helped raise, and the memories she leaves behind.
