It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Mary Lee Fisher, who left this world on April 8, 2026, her 78th birthday. Born on April 8, 1948, in Clinton, Louisiana, Mary was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the cherished daughter of Roberta Spears and Frank Sam Spears, who preceded her in death, along with her sisters, Vickie Spears, Sherry Spears, Alice Mae Holiday, Joyce Shepherd, and brothers, David Holiday and George Keller. Mary's life was a tapestry of love, woven with the threads of her dedication to family and community. A proud graduate of Clinton High School, she carried the values and lessons from her education into a life characterized by quiet wisdom and unyielding devotion to those she held dear. Her gentle spirit and nurturing nature were the foundation upon which her family flourished. Mary's legacy is lovingly carried forward by her five children: Veronica Fisher, Yolanda Fisher, Joseph Fisher, Arrision Fisher, and Jaqueline Nawaeze. In them, her strength and compassion continue to shine brightly. Her spirit also lives on through her six granddaughters: Nisheka Poellintz, Lafrancheia Fisher, Jasmine Fisher, Tenisha Fisher, Brittany Fisher, and Ashley Fisher, who each carry a piece of her heart with them. Additionally, her memory will be cherished by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who had the privilege of knowing her kindness and warmth. Mary found her greatest joy in the simple moments spent with her children and grandchildren, finding beauty in the laughter and love shared during family gatherings. Her quiet presence was a source of strength and reassurance, a testament to a life dedicated to fostering love and unity. As we gather to celebrate Mary's life, we remember her not only for the roles she filled but for the person she was – a woman of grace and gentle strength. Her legacy is not just in the family she leaves behind but in the countless lives she touched with her kindness and wisdom. A private family service will be held to honor Mary's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Mary's memory, as a way to continue her lifelong commitment to helping others. Mary Lee Fisher's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and selflessness. As we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit will forever guide us, her love ever-present in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
