Born on June 30, 1931, in New Bern, North Carolina, Mary was the cherished daughter of Frank and Victoria Fisher.
As a young woman, Mary embraced life with a vibrant spirit and an infectious smile that could light up any room. Her love for dancing was well known, and her joyful presence always brought warmth and happiness to those around her. Mary found immense joy in shopping and traveling, but her greatest passion was spending time with her family and friends, creating lifelong memories filled with laughter and love.
Mary shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Richard Smith. Together, they built a family grounded in love and mutual respect. Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy, Frank, Greg, and Vonnie, who she dearly missed and remembered fondly throughout her life. She is survived by her loving family, Jacqueline and Reginald, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
The family will honor Mary's wishes with a private funeral ceremony. In lieu of flowers, they kindly suggest that donations be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
