Born on February 17, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, Helen graced this world with her presence for 85 years, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. Helen was the cherished daughter of Mary Aud and James Bernard Ellis, and she shared a special bond with her siblings Angela Silanskis, James Ellis, and Joseph Ellis, who all predeceased her. Helen's life was enriched by her marriage to her loving husband, Richard (Dick) Kreiner, with whom she shared a remarkable journey of love and partnership. They wed on September 8, 1957, in a delightful elopement, with Helen donning a striking hot pink wedding dress—a testament to her spirited personality and zest for life. A devoted and nurturing mother, Helen dedicated her life to raising her six children: Richard Kreiner, Jr. (Margo), David Kreiner (Enid), John Kreiner (Rachelle), Nancy Black (Steve), Christine Winer, and Andrew Kreiner (Marianne). Her love extended beyond her immediate family, as she was the proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren—Stephanie, Melissa, Meghan, Holly, Shannon, Zach, Courtney, Lauren, Kurt, Alex, Olivia, Sam, Adam, Dylan, Presley, Nick, and Cam—and a doting great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren. Helen's family was the center of her universe, and she extended her love to countless nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. Helen's journey through life was marked by her diverse roles as a chauffeur, short order cook, master housekeeper, and counselor during her tenure as a mother. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and endless love. Helen was a master baker and a fabulous cook, known for her delicious meals and baked goods that brought joy to all who gathered at her table. Her passion for yard work and her penchant for rearranging furniture often left her family in delightful confusion, a testament to her lively spirit and creativity. An active member of St. Agnes Church in Catonsville, Helen's faith was an integral part of her life. Her beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous head of hair were only surpassed by her great sense of humor and the ability to light up any room she entered.
