Mary Helen Juarez, a cherished soul who touched the lives of many, passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on January 14, 1956, in the close-knit community of Gonzales, Texas, Mary Helen was the beloved daughter of Johnny Juarez Sr. and Margaret Juarez. Her gentle spirit and caring nature were evident from an early age and continued to define her throughout her life.
Mary Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, daughter, and friend. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Garibay, her parents, Johnny and Margaret Juarez, her brother Johnny Juarez Jr., and her grandmother, Elena Chapa. Her memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family: her sons Paul Garibay III of Dallas, Texas; James and his wife Letty Garibay of Cedar Hill, Texas; Jeffery and his wife Jessica Garibay of Irving, Texas; Fabian Garibay of Dallas, Texas; along with eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mary Helen dedicated over 15 years of her life as a Home Health Care aide, where she found fulfillment in providing compassionate care to those in need. Her vocation was more than a job to her; it was a calling. Her heart was especially devoted to caring for her mother and brother, ensuring their comfort and dignity in their final days.
Family was the cornerstone of Mary Helen's life. Her heart swelled with joy whenever her grandkids and great-grandkids were around, their laughter and presence illuminating her days. She was a pillar of strength and love, always ready to move mountains for those she held dear. Her kindness and willingness to help others knew no bounds, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity.
A service celebrating Mary Helen's life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. In honor of her giving spirit, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Mary Helen's lifelong commitment to helping others.
