In loving memory, we honor the life of Mary Helen Vulpone (nee, Morrin), who passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 91, after a sudden and brief illness. Born on March 10, 1935, in the quaint and picturesque village of Carrick Middle in Cornamona, Galway, Ireland. Mary was the daughter of Aileen Morrin, (nee King) and Martin Morrin of Galway, Ireland, and is pre-deceased by her parents, brother (Tony Morrin), and sister (Carmel Nathan). Mary is survived by her sister, Liz, her three children, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Mary's journey through life took her from the farms of Ireland to New York City and State where she lived most of her life. She had an unwavering devotion to her family. Before raising her family and helping raise two of her grandchildren, Mary worked several jobs from the family farm, a bed-and-breakfast, and post office in Ireland to a domestic servant in New York City, in addition to a telephone operator and later an investigator for New York Telephone Company. Mary's life was a tapestry rich with her faith in God and the traditions of her Irish heritage, woven with stories of love, laughter, and lessons that she generously shared with her family and friends. Her legacy is one of kindness, generosity and resilience. Mary was a great storyteller and letter writer. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter and her ability to bring joy and comfort to all who knew her. A private memorial will be held at a later date to honor Mary's life, in accordance with her family's wishes. Details will follow separately. As we say goodbye to our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and neighbor, Mary, we celebrate a life well-lived with a heart of gold, kindness, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
