It is with profound sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Mary Griffin, who left this world peacefully at her home on September 8, 2026. Born on March 31, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, Mary was a beacon of warmth, compassion, and unwavering strength to all who had the privilege of knowing her. There is no service planed at this time. Mary was the beloved daughter of Jack Arthur Johnson and Lillian Ward, who precede her in death. She was also predeceased by her cherished daughter, April Kreger. Despite these losses, Mary carried their memories with grace, finding joy and purpose in the family she built and the community she cherished.
A devoted mother, Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Amy Szychulski, who was by her side throughout her life’s journey. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren: Sabrina Glaze and her husband Caleb of Arlington, Cheyenne Kreger of Midland, Dean Kreger of Haskell, Anthony Rosales of Ennis, and Johnny Taylor. She was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Christopher Anderson, Melanie Anderson, Malakai Glaze, Carissa Glaze, Elizabeth Gallegos, Christian Gallegos, Jr., and Scarlett Gallegos, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Mary's family was her pride and joy, and she took great pleasure in watching them grow and flourish. Her sister, Elanie Ward, and Pam Johnson, along with an extended family and a host of dear friends, will remember Mary as a pillar of strength and a source of unconditional love.
Her life was a testament to kindness and resilience, characteristics that she imparted to everyone around her. Mary’s warm smile and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who crossed her path. Her home was a sanctuary of comfort and laughter, where everyone felt welcome and cherished.
