March 10, 1933 — June 30, 2026

Mary Goss, a spirited and loving soul, left this world peacefully on June 30, 2026, in the comfort of her home. Born on March 10, 1933, in Toole, Utah, Mary was a beacon of warmth and joy throughout her 93 years of life. She was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Annie Marion, and she was reunited with them, her cherished husband Joseph Goss, siblings Johnny and Pauline, and her dear son Benny Joe in the afterlife. Mary's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the beauty of simple joys. She graduated from Toole High School in 1951 and went on to dedicate over two decades as a school crossing guard and playground supervisor for Tacoma Public Schools. Her caring nature and watchful eye ensured the safety and happiness of countless children, leaving a lasting imprint on the community. On January 13, 1962, Mary married her soulmate, Joseph, in Tacoma, WA. Together, they built a family filled with love, welcoming two beautiful children, Benny Joe and Cindy. Her legacy lives on through her daughter, Cindy Goss, and her grandchildren, Krystina (Donald III) Skaar, Autumn Resnik, Dustin (Brook) Resnik, Thomas (Eliza) Goss, and Marji (Trevor) Goss. Her great-grandchildren, Donald IV, Theo, Faith, Hope, and Grace, will continue to carry forward the lessons of love and strength that Mary imparted. Known for her quick wit and sarcasm, Mary had an infectious laugh that could brighten any room. Her loving nature and resilience taught her family the true meaning of living life to the fullest. She was unapologetically herself, a pillar of strength and comfort for those who needed her most. Whether through her avid bowling, her passion for crossword puzzles and crocheting, or her presence at her grandchildren's sporting events and school activities, Mary's zest for life was evident to all who knew her. Mary is also survived by her beloved dogs, Gracie May and Blitz, who brought her endless joy and companionship, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who were touched by her kindness and boundless love. In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Mary’s life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Mary's memory to a charity of your choice, continuing Mary's legacy of love and generosity. As her family lovingly shares, "Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I'll miss you until we meet again." May Mary’s memory continue to inspire those she leaves behind, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply cherished.
