It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Elen Rossillo, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world on August 17, 2026. Born on October 9, 1954, in North Bergen, NJ, Mary Elen lived a life full of grace, laughter, and kindness until her peaceful passing at home.
Mary Elen was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Phillip, her cherished mother, Helen Sheridan, her grandparents, and her dear aunt and uncle. She is survived by her loving Aunt Anna; her two brothers, Jim and Joe, and her sister-in-law, Elisa; her stepson and his wife, Tedd and Taylor Rossillo, and her beloved granddaughters, Stella and Devyn. Mary Elen's memory will also live on through her many adored nieces and nephews, who cherished her dearly.
A proud graduate of Emerson High School in Union City, NJ, Mary Elen embarked on a fulfilling career as a typesetter and proofreader at Gemini Printing. Her dedication and meticulous nature found a home at the Department of Public Works and the Building Department of North Bergen, NJ, where she served as a dedicated secretary. Her colleagues and community appreciated her steadfast commitment and infectious spirit.
Beyond her professional achievements, Mary Elen will be remembered for her passion for baking, a skill that brought joy and comfort to her family and friends. Her kitchen was always filled with the warm aroma of baked goods, a testament to her love for others and her desire to make them feel cherished.
Mary Elen's life was a tapestry woven with humor and warmth. Known for her radiant smile and ready wit, she had a unique talent for making everyone feel welcome and valued. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of love and compassion.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by Mary Elen are invited to gather in her honor on August 21, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Mack’s Funeral Home, located at 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a way to continue Mary Elen’s legacy of giving and kindness.
