Born on August 13, 1938, in Buffalo, New York, Mary Anne's life was a tapestry woven with love, kindness, and selfless devotion to those she held dear. Growing up in the vibrant city of Buffalo, Mary Anne was one of six siblings. Her early years were filled with the warmth and camaraderie shared among her sisters, Terry Van Pelt and Judy Dodge, and her brothers, Michael Dodge and Roy "Buddy" Dodge. Her childhood was marked by the strong values of family unity and support, which she carried into her own family life. Mary Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Harrell, with whom she shared a life full of love and partnership. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, raising eight children with boundless love and dedication. Though preceded in death by her sons Kevin, Timothy, and Christopher Patterson, and her daughter Cynthia Wilson (nee Patterson), Mary Anne's legacy continues to shine brightly through her surviving children: sons Jeff, Keith, and Mark Patterson, and daughters Patricia Verrall (nee Patterson) and Teresa Patterson. A beacon of love and generosity, Mary Anne's life was a testament to the profound impact one person can have on the lives of others. Her warmth and nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
