Mary Ann Hubbell, born on August 13, 1940, in the vibrant city of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully under the tender care of Grand Junction Colorado HopeWest Hospice Ferris Care Center. Her life, spanning 85 remarkable years, was a testament to the power of love, passion, and unwavering dedication to family and community. Mary Ann's journey was a tapestry woven with rich experiences and profound connections. She married the love of her life, Donald Hubbell, on May 24, 1986, and together they shared 40 beautiful years filled with adventure, laughter, and unwavering support. Their union was blessed with a son, Bhaktananda, who, along with his children—Raja and Sara—brought immense joy to Mary Ann's life. Her legacy continues through her two cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who will forever carry forward her spirit and warmth. A scholar at heart, Mary Ann graduated with a teaching degree and later pursued specialized training as a Psychiatric Technician. Her professional life was characterized by a dedication to nurturing others, whether through her work as a teacher in the Head Start Program, where she inspired young minds, or as a Psychiatric Technician and Reiki Master, where she provided healing and comfort to countless individuals. Mary Ann's love for the arts was as boundless as her spirit. She found solace and joy in painting, capturing the beauty of the world around her with each brushstroke. Her life was an adventure, enriched by her time living in diverse cultures, including Italy, Zimbabwe, Oman, Russia, Brazil, and Senegal. These experiences broadened her horizons and deepened her appreciation for the world's rich tapestry of cultures. A celebration of Mary Ann's life will be held at the Unity Church of Ocala, located at 101 Cedar Road, on August 30, 2026. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a woman whose kindness and grace touched the lives of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice, honoring Mary Ann's lifelong commitment to giving back and helping others.
