In Loving Memory

Marva Beverly Primo
November 12, 1951 — July 17, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Marva, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Marva left this world on July 17, 2026, at the age of 74, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 12, 1951, in the vibrant town of Georgetown, Guyana, South America, Marva was the beloved daughter of the late Ivan and Iris Viola Primo. Throughout her life, she carried the values and love instilled in her by her parents, which she passed on to her own family with grace and compassion.
Marva is survived by her devoted children, Andrew Culley and Wemyss Culley, who were the light of her life. Her legacy continues with her treasured grandchildren, Ka-Quana, Ianna, and Areil, along with her adored great-grandchildren, Kashes and Dalaya, who brought her boundless joy and pride.
She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Joycelyn, Maureen, Desrie, Courtney, Norris, and Shelly. Her memory will be cherished by her son-in-law, O'Brien Givens; brothers-in-law, Bertram Grogan, Johnny Rutherford, and Frank Thomas; and sisters-in-law, Sylvia Primo and Elaine Primo. Marva will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, including Hazel, Denise, Carol, Dawn, Robin, Susan, Karen, Simone, Roger, Colette, Linden, Pamela, Sonia, Norris Jr., LaTonya, and many more.
Marva was predeceased by her brothers, Ivor and Winston Primo, and her brother-in-law, Compton "Mickey" Burkett. Their memories remain alive in the hearts of those who loved them.
Professionally, Marva was a popular hairstylist whose creativity and skill were matched only by her warmth and kindness. Her clients were not just customers but friends who cherished the time spent in her company. Marva's love for ballroom dancing, especially to oldies songs, was a testament to her vibrant spirit and her joy for life.
