He was the cherished son of Tonia Stephens and Martin Stubbs, who survive him, along with his two treasured children, Marlin and Kane, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his six brothers, Terence, Antonio, Pernell, Rodney, Perry, and Patrick, and his four sisters, Juanita, Crystal, Sade, and Sasha. His legacy continues through his six nieces, 27 nephews, and an extensive family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Martin's family was his pride and joy, and he held them close to his heart. Martin's journey was marked by a deep love for learning and a passion for life. He was a proud graduate who attended Northwestern High School, Job Corp, and Wayne County Community College. His dedication to acquiring knowledge and self-improvement was evident in everything he did. Martin's curiosity and eagerness to learn were infectious, inspiring those around him to embrace new experiences and challenges. A patriot at heart, Martin honorably served his country in the United States Army from April 28, 2009, to October 12, 2012. During his service, he was awarded several medals, including the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon. His courage and dedication were a testament to his unwavering commitment to protecting the freedoms we hold dear. Martin was a man of many talents and interests. He was an avid reader, enjoyed learning new things, and had a passion for working out. Sports were a significant part of his life, and he loved the camaraderie and joy they brought. His creative spirit shone through in his love for freestyle rapping, where he found a unique way to express his thoughts and emotions. Known for his kindness and courageous spirit, Martin had an innate ability to make people laugh and feel at ease. His warm smile and infectious humor brightened the lives of everyone he encountered. Martin was a true people person, always ready with a joke or a kind word, and he had an extraordinary gift for lifting the spirits of those around him. Martin joins in eternal rest his beloved grandmother, Ella Mae; his great aunt, Joann; his great uncles, Ronnie, Frankie, and Michael; his aunt, Lisa; his big brother, Preston; his little sister, Adrianna; and his little cousin, Diamond, who predeceased him. While our hearts ache with the loss of Martin, we take solace in the beautiful memories he leaves behind. His life was a testament to love, laughter, and the importance of family. He will forever be remembered for his gentle spirit, his bravery, and the joy he brought to the lives of those who knew him.
