December 21, 1957 — August 4, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Martin McPherson on August 4th, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Born on December 21, 1957, in Covina, CA, Martin was a cherished son to the late Alvin JD McPherson and Marietta Katheryn Pocock. Martin was a father to his children, Michael L. McPherson, Tina Capps, and her husband, Cheyenne (of Lake Havasu, AZ), Tiffany Roe, and her husband Zane (of Lake Havasu, AZ), who will forever treasure his memory. He was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren, Bless, Ean and Isaacs, whose lives he enriched with his love and humor. Martin's siblings, Ed McPherson, Cynthia Shipps, Raymond McPherson, Alan McPherson, Ronnie Burroughs, Diana Green, Russell Burroughs, and Richie Burroughs, along with his many nieces, nephews, and extended family, will deeply miss his presence and the joy he brought to their lives. A graduate of Upland High School, Martin spent his later years working in retail, a career from which he retired in 2023. His colleagues remember him fondly for his quick wit and warm smile, always ready with a joke to lighten any mood. Martin had an incredible gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, leaving a lasting impression on the many lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. Outside of his professional life, Martin was an avid enthusiast of both snow and water skiing, passions that he pursued with vigor and joy. These hobbies reflected his love for adventure and the great outdoors, traits that were evident in the way he lived his life. Martin was predeceased by his parents and his dear nephew, Donald O. Thome, whose memories he cherished deeply. In their honor, Martin continued to embody the values they instilled in him: compassion, generosity, and an unwavering love for family. A service to celebrate Martin's life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at 1708 Mohican Dr, Lake Havasu, AZ 86406. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in the memories of a life well-lived. Martin McPherson's legacy of laughter, love, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
