Although she faced the profound loss of her parents, her brother Haywood McClinton, her daughters Melvina Joyner, and her sisters Mary Alice Staffor and Sarah Catherine Hill, Martha carried their memories with her throughout her life. Her legacy of love is carried forward by her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who will forever remember her radiant smile, her infectious laughter, and her dynamite voice that brought joy to all who knew her. Martha was a dedicated and hardworking individual, committed to her work at the state hospital where she served in environmental services for over 15 years. Her career was marked by dedication and diligence, reflective of her steadfast character. Beyond her professional life, she contributed to her community as a member of the Holy Light Church in Poughkeepsie, New York, a place where her faith and family intersected profoundly. Known for her loving smile and wonderful sense of humor, Martha had the remarkable ability to light up any room she entered. Her voice, a gift to all who heard it, resonated with warmth and joy, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. In accordance with Martha's wishes, a private funeral ceremony was held. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who honored Martha's memory by attending the service.
