Martha Larson

Martha Larson, a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully on October 26. Born on February 1, 1938, in Stanton County, Martha was the daughter of John and Jennie (Kucera) Manak. She was one of five siblings and shared a close bond with her sisters Marcela Shonka and Adella Tomasek, and brothers Elden and Rawlin Manak, all of whom predeceased her. She graduated from high school in 1956 that laid the foundation for a lifetime of hard work and dedication. Her career at Mutual of Omaha spanned over four decades, where she was known for her commitment and professionalim. She retired in 1997. On May 2, 1959, Martha married Dennis Larson, in Omaha. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, lasting 56 years until Dennis's passing. Martha was a devoted mother to her daughter, Karlene O'Neill, and a doting grandmother to Bethenny and Breanna O'Neill, who were the light of her life. Martha's family was her pride and joy. She was an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Martha's life will be held on October 31, 2026, at 10:00 at Heafey, Hoffmann, Dworak and Cutlar, located at 7805 W Center Rd. Her family invites those who knew her to come together in remembrance and gratitude.
