February 2, 1933 — June 10, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martha Beckley, who left this world peacefully on June 10, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on February 2, 1933, in the heart of Alabama, Martha lived a life filled with love, service, and joy, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Martha was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Kenneth L. Beckley, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage that began in 1953. Together, they built a legacy of love and compassion that continues to inspire. She is survived by her devoted sister, Ann Miller, and her daughter, Ann Marie Young, who carries forward Martha’s spirit of kindness and generosity. Her legacy is also lovingly upheld by her grandchildren, Eric Young and his wife Lacey, Darrell Young and his wife Verta, and her precious great-grandchildren, Mark and Ashley Young. For over 50 years, Martha was an active and dedicated member of the First Baptist Church, where she not only found solace and community but also extended her heartfelt service to others. Known for her radiant smile and captivating stories, Martha had a unique ability to light up any room she entered. Her warmth and kindness were felt by her neighbors and friends, whom she tirelessly supported through her community work. Martha’s life was a testament to the power of love, community, and faith. She found joy in helping others, always ready with a kind word or a listening ear. Her legacy is one of compassion, igniting a spirit of giving in those who follow in her footsteps. A service to honor and celebrate Martha’s life will be held on June 13, 2026, at 16:00, at Johns. Those wishing to attend can request the service address privately. As we gather to remember Martha, let us carry forward the lessons she taught us through her unwavering love and kindness. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in our hearts and actions. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity close to Martha’s heart, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping those in need. May her soul rest in eternal peace, forever embraced by the love she shared with the world.
