It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Martha Ann Hinton, who departed this world peacefully on September 7, 2026. Born on October 18, 1947, in the gentle embrace of Cadiz, Kentucky, Martha was a cherished daughter of the late Hobert Lee Boren and Minnie Askew Boren. She was a beloved sister to Beulah Wallace, Ortha Fox, Dorothy Russell, Robert Boren, and Herbert Lee Boren, all of whom preceded her in death. Martha was also a devoted wife to Don Hinton, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage until his passing in 2015. Martha's life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and selflessness. Her greatest joy was her family, which she nurtured with boundless warmth and unwavering support. She leaves behind her beloved children, Vicky Ashcroft, Melissa Kay Harrell, and Tonja Ann Clan, who continue to carry forward her legacy of compassion and kindness. Martha's family also included her cherished stepchildren, Walter Hinton, Mary Merritt, and Don Hinton, Jr., and her loving brother, Jack Boren, and sister, Betty Perry. Martha's heart swelled with pride for her grandchildren, Jessica, Stuart, Roger, Charlene, Michael, and Aubrey, as well as her great-grandchildren, Isaac, Sebastian, Madelyn, and Walter Matthew. They were her treasured gifts and her enduring legacy. Her dear great-great niece and nephews, Taylor, Hudson, and Haydon Oliver, also held a special place in her heart. Her professional life was marked by dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. Martha worked in retail for many years, creating connections and friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was also the co-owner of South Road BBQ in Cadiz, where she shared her love of good food and community. A devout and longstanding member of Joiner’s Chapel Church of Christ, Martha's faith was a guiding light in her life. Martha was a woman of many facets—she found joy in volunteer work at the former Memorial Hospital in Clarksville and relished time spent with family, especially the children, who were the center of her world. Known for her inability to say no to anyone in need, Martha's generosity and kindness knew no bounds. In honor of Martha's memory, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of one's choice, reflecting her spirit of giving and compassion. Martha Ann Hinton's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light in the hearts of her family and friends.
