Marsha McGee
December 30, 1944 — March 3, 2026
It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Marsha McGee. Born on December 30, 1944, in the charming town of Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Marsha journeyed through life with a warrior's spirit until she left this world on March 3, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and laughter of her cherished family at her beloved home.
Marsha was the cherished daughter of Muriel "Mo" and Clifford Foote, who predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 39 years, Frank McGee, whose love and partnership she treasured throughout their time together.
A woman of unwavering strength and deep convictions, Marsha was a beacon of love and courage. Her belief in the power of family and friendship was the cornerstone of her life. She lived bravely, never shying away from life's challenges, and she loved with an open heart that knew no bounds. Her steadfast nature drew people to her, and she found immense joy and solace in the company of her family and the cherished friends she held dear.
Marsha's legacy is lovingly carried forward by her sister, Dellia McDaniel; her daughters, Tracy (Jade) Wong and Tari (Graeme) Van Dongen; and her treasured grandchildren, Kade, Jayson, and Sam Wong, and Luke and Charlie Van Dongen. Her family extended to include her chosen son, Michal Brown, as well as numerous in-laws, cousins, and dear friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
In Marsha's memory, her family extends a heartfelt invitation to honor her life by considering the gift of life through organ donation. In lieu of flowers or donations, Marsha and her family would be deeply grateful if you would consider signing your organ donation card and ensuring your family is aware of your wishes.
Marsha McGee's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the strength found within the embrace of family and friends. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, reminding us to live bravely and love deeply, just as she did.
