It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marsha Kay Moore, who left us peacefully at her home on April 3, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on July 10, 1945, in Santa Fe, Texas, Marsha was a cherished daughter of Christine and George Henry Westrup as well as her loving step-father, Eugene Eldridge who raised her after her father’s death. Marsha was a beacon of kindness and compassion, qualities that were evident in her early years and carried through her entire life. Her nurturing spirit and desire to help those in need were hallmarks of her character, and she touched countless lives with her gentle hands and caring heart. On July 8, 1968, Marsha married the love of her life, Fred J. Moore, Jr. Together, they shared 52 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Alongside Fred, Marsha transitioned from nursing to join him in managing Fred Moore Motor Parts, and later, they established Island Utilities and Laurel House, an assisted living home. Their partnership was a testament to their shared vision and unwavering dedication to their community. Her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom, love, and warmth. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. She was also a passionate gardener, a skilled cook, and an avid lover of animals. Her zest for life was evident in her many hobbies, including boating, fishing, and playing card games and dominos with her dear friends. Marsha is survived by her loving sisters, Barbara Giamfortone, Rena and her husband Frank Tambrella, and Jerry and her husband Mike Tinnell, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
