Marsha's life was a testament to compassion and dedication. She devoted almost 40 years to her career as a nurse, where she cared for her patients with unwavering kindness and professionalism. Her commitment to the well-being of others was not only evident in her career but also in the way she nurtured and supported her family. On October 30, 1989, Marsha married the love of her life, Terry Cassidy. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, welcoming their son Wyatt into the world. Marsha took immense pride in her family, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as spending time with her husband and son, and cherished every moment with them. Marsha was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Doris, and her brother, Philip Smith. She is survived by her devoted husband, Terry Cassidy, her loving son, Wyatt Cassidy, and her siblings, Richard Smith and Patricia Venable. Although she did not have grandchildren, her legacy of love and kindness will be carried forward by those who knew her. A service to honor and celebrate Marsha's life will be held on October 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home, located at 2097 N Oakland, Decatur, IL. Family and friends are invited to join together to remember Marsha and the beautiful life she led. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Marsha's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to her heart. Donations can be directed to their location in Memphis, TN, in the United States. Marsha Cassidy touched the lives of so many with her warmth, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.
