It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marquis Knight, who left this world too soon on July 20, 2026. Marquis was born on September 1, 2003, in Chicago, Illinois, to his loving parents, Marquis Knight Sr. and Jovan Reynolds. Marquis was a bright young man with a passion for aviation. He was pursuing his dreams at the Illinois Aviation Academy in Chicago, where he was admired by his peers and instructors for his dedication and enthusiasm. His ambition was to soar high, and he worked tirelessly toward his goal of becoming a pilot. Marquis was predeceased by his parents, Marquis Knight Sr. and Jovan Reynolds, as well as his beloved sisters, Jamaya Knight and his twin sister, Marquita Knight. He also leaves behind cherished memories of his three nephews and his two dogs, who were his constant companions and brought him great joy. Though his family has experienced immeasurable loss, Marquis's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering determination left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A service to honor and celebrate Marquis's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Leak & Son, located at 7838 S Cottage Ave, Chicago, IL. Friends, family, and all those whose lives Marquis touched are invited to come together to share memories and pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Marquis's memory to a charity of your choice, as a way to honor the caring and compassionate spirit he carried throughout his life.
