It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marquan McNeil, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left us too soon on April 19, 2026. Born on June 24, 2002, in Buffalo, NY, Marquan departed this world peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family.
Marquan was the cherished son of Lisa-Ann Wilson and Mark McNeil, alongside his loving stepmother, Tamika McNeil. He was predeceased by his dear grandmother, Mary Wilson, and his uncle, Jamie McNeil, whose memories he held close to his heart.
Marquan was a beacon of joy and laughter to his surviving family members, including his brothers Robbie, Nyrie, Marcus, Mylo, and Mario, as well as his sisters Jaquan, Jaziyah, and Brianna. Each of them carries a piece of Marquan's kindness and warmth in their hearts, ensuring his spirit continues to shine brightly.
A proud graduate of Collin’s High School, Marquan completed his studies with honors, reflecting his dedication and passion for learning. His commitment to helping others led him to a three-year career in healthcare, where his compassion and gentle nature touched the lives of many.
From the age of six, Marquan found joy and camaraderie on the football field as a member of the local little league, a testament to his lifelong love of sports. Whether he was playing baseball, cheering on his favorite team, or crafting lyrics, his enthusiasm was infectious. His talent for rapping was as profound as his love for the game, providing him an outlet to express his vibrant spirit and creative soul.
Marquan's life will be celebrated on May 1, 2026, with a service at Edward’s Funeral Home, located at 995 Genesee St. The service will commence at 12:00 pm, and all who knew and loved Marquan are invited to join in remembering his life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Marquan’s honor to True Bethel, an organization close to his heart, where he found community and strength.
Marquan McNeil was a son, brother, and friend who filled our lives with laughter, warmth, and love. Though his time with us was brief, the impact of his kindness and joy will echo in our hearts forever. May his soul rest in peace, and his memory be a guiding light for all those who knew him.
