With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Marlene Lynette Mansker, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Born on July 29, 1966, in Gary, Indiana, Marlene graced us with her presence for 60 remarkable years before she peacefully departed this world on August 9, 2026, after valiantly battling cancer. Marlene was the cherished daughter of Elaine Mansker Williams and the late Charles Milton Mansker. Her father, Charles, predeceased her, but she leaves behind a legacy of love with her mother, Elaine, and her devoted family, including her siblings Melissa and Esteban, her son Justin, her niece Jasmine and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who became family. The roots of Marlene's journey in life were planted in Seattle, Washington, where she graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1984. Driven by a passion for understanding the human mind and a heart full of compassion, she pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at The University of Washington. Marlene’s education laid the foundation for a career that touched many lives and was marked by her genuine warmth and infectious enthusiasm. Professionally, Marlene was a beacon of excellence, building her career with a number of esteemed companies. She crafted beautiful relationships with friends and colleagues alike, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. At the time of her passing, she was a Senior Systems Analyst at T-Mobile's corporate office in Bellevue, Washington—a role that showcased her talent, dedication, and leadership. Beyond her professional achievements, Marlene was a lover of music, often taking on the role of DJ to bring joy to gatherings with her carefully curated playlists. Her ability to turn friends into family was a testament to her generous spirit and the warmth she brought into every room. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Bonney Watson for the compassionate care provided to Marlene during her transition.
