In Loving Memory

marlene elizabeth stratton
February 18, 1963 — September 14, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marlene Elizabeth Stratton, who passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on February 18, 1963, Marlene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched many lives.
Marlene was the daughter of Robert Whitaker, who survives her, and the late Evelyn Whitaker, beside whom she will be laid to rest. Her Christian faith was central to her life, and she was an active member of Point of Grace Church in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
Marlene met her husband, Daniel Stratton, in 1985, and they married in 1988. Together, they raised their two children, Amanda and Michael, and welcomed three beloved grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured the memories and traditions they shared.
Marlene dedicated her career to education as an elementary school administrative assistant, earning a reputation for patience, organization, and compassion. Outside of work, she loved baking lemon pound cakes and cinnamon rolls, gardening, reading mystery novels, and bringing loved ones together over home-cooked meals. Her nurturing spirit, strong will, and dry sense of humor made her unforgettable.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, comfort, and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marlene’s memory to Point of Grace Church.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” — Revelation 21:4 (NIV)
Marlene’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered.
With love and gratitude,
The Stratton Family
