In Loving Memory

Marlene Dailey
February 29, 1940 — September 8, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for her life that we announce the peaceful passing of Marlene Dailey on September 8, 2026. Born on February 29, 1940, in Olive, Oklahoma, Marlene was a leap year baby whose unique spirit graced this world with warmth and joy.
The cherished daughter of Mortie L. Dailey and Aubin Dailey, Marlene grew up embodying the values of kindness and humor, traits that she carried with her throughout her life. She attended Olive High School and furthered her education at TCC College in Texas before pursuing her passion for nursing at the Washington D.C. School of Nursing. As a dedicated registered nurse, Marlene spent a decade caring for patients at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, leaving a lasting impact on all those she served.
Marlene's life was rich with friendships and community involvement. She was an active member of Victory Church and Ranch Acres Baptist Church, where she participated in numerous Bible studies. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with a sense of peace and purpose.
A lover of nature and literature, Marlene found solace in her garden and in the pages of a good book, preferring the tranquility of these pursuits over the distractions of television. Her sweet smile and witty sense of humor brought laughter to those around her, and her warmth touched everyone she encountered.
Marlene was married to Myron Anderson, with whom she shared many years before their paths diverged in 2011. Though she did not have children or immediate family nearby, Marlene's community and friends became her chosen family, offering her love and support in abundance.
A service to honor Marlene's life will be held on October 2, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Floral Haven Cemetery, located at 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, celebrating Marlene's generous spirit in a way that is meaningful to you.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to True Heart Hospice and Canoe Brook Memory Care for their compassionate care. As Marlene rests "Asleep in Jesus Christ," her friends and family hold her memory dear, forever grateful for the light she brought into their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Marlene Dailey welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
