It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Marla Sue Noyes, beloved mother, Nana, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on May 16, 2026, at the age of 65. Marla was born on August 18, 1960, in Martinez, California, to Marvin Eugene and Betty Jean Turner, both of whom preceded her in death. She carried their spirit and love of life in all that she did, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met. Marla's journey through life was one filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the cherished partner of Craig, who stood by her side through life's many adventures. Her daughters, Marlena Ring (Chris) and Angelena Meier (Samson), were the light of her life, and she beamed with pride over their accomplishments. Marla's sister, Bonnie Smith (Al), and her stepchildren, Jennie and Jason Noyes, were dear to her heart, as were her grandchildren—Edward, Joseph, Zachariah, Mackenzie, Ryan, Alexandria, Maddison, Evelyn, and Logan—who brought immeasurable joy and fulfillment to her days. Her grandchildren fondly remember "Nana" for her infectious laughter, her love of chocolate, and her willingness to accompany them on sweet adventures whenever the opportunity arose. Marla never met a dessert she didn't like, a testament to her sweet nature and zest for life's simple pleasures. Marla's educational journey was marked by determination and perseverance, as she graduated early after attending classes at Pittsburg Adult Education. A devoted member of the Pittsburg Church of the Nazarene, Marla found solace and community in her faith. She was also a cherished part of the Pittsburg Senior Center, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her love for singing and dancing. Her voice could lift spirits, and her dance moves brought joy to gatherings both big and small. Marla had a profound ability to make others feel cherished and understood, with a heart open to all. She was a beacon of strength and support, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she never missed an opportunity to celebrate their triumphs or provide comfort in their times of need. Her unwavering presence during the challenging moments, including rushing to San Francisco to be with Angelena and Logan during his critical fight, exemplified her selfless love. In honoring Marla's memory, we celebrate a life well-lived. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the cherished memories and the love she so generously shared. As we say goodbye to our beloved Marla, we hold her in our hearts and cherish the memories she created. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so richly deserves.
