He spent his formative years in Louisiana , where he cultivated lifelong friendships, many dating back to his days at Country Day School and Tioga High School, from which he graduated in 1986. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history, a testament to his enduring curiosity and love for learning. Answering the call to serve his country, Mark proudly joined the United States Navy, where his dedication and service were a source of pride for his family and friends. After his honorable service, he transitioned into a career as an insurance claims adjuster, where he was admired for his meticulous attention to detail and his unwavering integrity. Mark's life was richly woven with the threads of his passions and interests. A true car enthusiast, he delighted in the camaraderie of his local car club, where he shared his passion for automobiles with fellow enthusiasts. Whether behind the wheel or under the hood, Mark found joy in the mechanical marvels and the friendships forged along the way. He is also survived by his father, Wayne (Margaret) Alexander, his mother, Sherryl Lane, and his siblings, Luke Ballard and Danielle Ballard.
