Mark Turner, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on July 15, 1954, in Oroville, Washington, Mark was the cherished son of Marion and Lee Turner, who predeceased him. He is fondly remembered by his surviving family, including his devoted wife Becky, children Korie, Jason, and Tyler, and his adoring grandchildren: Kaylieana, Aliyah, Brayden, Brantley, Baylor, Oliver, Madeline, Leeo, Ella, and Harper. Mark also leaves behind his dear siblings, brothers John and Steve, and sisters Dawn Marie and Caroline.
Mark pursued his education with dedication, earning a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from Washington State University. His career began with the courageous and thrilling work as a smokejumper in the North Cascades Mountains, leaping from planes to battle fierce wildfires. His adventurous spirit and commitment to helping others later led him to work as a paramedic.
He found his professional calling in the banking industry, initially working in the Metro-Portland area before settling in Clarkston, Washington. There, Mark thrived as a successful banker, building lasting relationships within the community he grew to love.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mark was a man of many passions. A master gardener, he took immense pride in his orchard, often sharing its bounty with the local food bank. His love for nature was reflected in his hobbies of fishing, hunting, and hiking, activities he cherished most when shared with his children and grandchildren, who were the center of his world.
Mark's quick wit and sense of humor were legendary; his one-liners brought laughter and warmth to everyone around him. His zest for life was contagious, and he was known for his adventurous spirit. Mark had a true gift for hospitality, delighting in cooking and entertaining friends and family.
A service to celebrate Mark's life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Crossroads Church. In honor of Mark's generous spirit, the family requests that donations be made to the local food bank, continuing his legacy of giving.
Mark Turner will be remembered as a man who lived life to the fullest, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. His love, laughter, and kindness will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
