Mark Sobcyzk
January 2, 1959 — June 23, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound respect, we announce the passing of Mark Sobcyzk, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on June 23, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on January 2, 1959, in the vibrant city of Milwaukee, Mark was the beloved son of the late Janice Klusman and Steven Sobcyzk. His journey through life was marked by an unwavering love for family, a dedication to his passions, and a generosity of spirit that touched everyone he met.
Mark was a man who lived life with enthusiasm and joy. From a young age, he found solace and excitement in the world of sports, often sharing his insights and enthusiasm with those around him. Whether it was cheering for his favorite teams or participating in local leagues, Mark's enthusiasm was infectious, and his knowledge, unparalleled. His love for the game extended beyond the field, as he also enjoyed the thrill of gambling, always seeing it as a game of chance and enjoying the camaraderie it brought with friends.
Another of Mark's passions was shooting pool—a game he mastered with skill and precision. He relished the strategic nature of the game and the opportunity it gave him to bond with friends old and new. The pool table was not just a place of competition for Mark, but a venue for laughter, storytelling, and creating lasting memories.
A devoted father, Mark is survived by his loving son, Jake Sobcyzk, and cherished his role as a grandfather to his one grandchild, with whom he shared many adventures and stories. Though preceded in death by his grandson, Troy Sobcyzk, Mark's love and legacy live on in his family.
Mark's family was the cornerstone of his life. He shared a deep bond with his brothers, James (Donna) Welch, Jeffery Welch Sr., and Ryan (Joy) Sobcyzk, and his sister, Kathy (Dewey) Mays. His siblings were not only family but friends, confidants, and partners in the journey of life. Mark's extended family and friends will fondly remember his warmth, his sharp wit, and his ability to make everyone feel valued and loved.
A service to celebrate Mark's remarkable life will be held on July 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Shephards On Slinger, located at 8924 W. Slinger Ave, West Allis, WI. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Mark are invited to gather and honor the legacy of a man whose kindness, humor, and spirit will remain with us forever.
As we say goodbye to Mark, we are reminded of the profound impact he had on our lives. His memory will continue to inspire us to live with kindness and joy, just as he did every day. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the incredible life he led and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him.
