It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Pedigo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. Mark passed away peacefully at his home on April 15, 2026, in Havana, Illinois. At the age of 68, surrounded by his devoted family, Mark left this world just as he lived his life— enveloped in love and laughter.
Born on October 5, 1957, in Springfield, Illinois, Mark was the cherished son of Ed and Shirley Pedigo. He is predeceased by his father, Edgar Pedigo, and leaves behind a legacy of warmth and joy for all who knew him. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, JoDee Pedigo, with whom he shared a lifetime of adventures and memories. Together, they raised two remarkable children, Sara (Ryan) and Scott (Megan), who were his pride and joy.
Mark was a doting grandfather to Ada and Lola Skolaski and Brynlee and Reagan Pedigo, who each held a special place in his heart. His brother, Tim (Kathie), and his mother, Shirley Lynn, also survive him, along with countless friends who became family over the years.
A proud graduate of Easton High School in 1976, Mark furthered his education by earning an Associate’s degree in Agricultural Sciences from Black Hawk East in Kewanee, IL. His passion for agriculture led him to a fulfilling 45-year career with the Growmark Corporation, where his dedication and expertise left an indelible mark.
Mark was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in fishing and hunting, and was always eager to embark on a new adventure. His zest for life was infectious, and his ability to connect with people was unparalleled. To know Mark was to have a friend for life; he never met a stranger and was perpetually the life of the party, always ready with a joke or a story to elicit laughter and smiles.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held on April 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, IL. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers from Compassus Hospice, who provided Mark with extraordinary care and comfort in his final days.
