Mark Parker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Parker, a beloved father, husband, and friend, who left this world on March 14, 2023, at the age of 91. Born on February 5, 1932, in the United States to Emily and Johnson Parker, Mark lived a life full of love, dedication, and service. Mark was a devoted husband to his cherished wife, Mary Parker, who predeceased him. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared many joyous moments until her passing. Mark is survived by his two children, Becky Parker and Charles Parker, who were the light of his life and whom he adored deeply. A proud alumnus of Yale University and White Oak High School, Mark valued education and instilled the importance of learning in his children. His commitment to service was evident in his time with the Army, where he served his country with honor and dedication. Professionally, Mark dedicated many years of hard work at White Oak Oil Change, where he was known for his integrity, diligence, and kind-hearted nature. His connection to the community was further highlighted by his membership at the White Oak Community Church, where he found not only his spiritual family but also a place where his heart truly belonged. An avid sports enthusiast, Mark found great joy in football, basketball, and baseball — passions he shared with everyone around him, creating cherished memories. His love for these games was surpassed only by his love for his family and community. A service to celebrate Mark's life will be held on March 19, 2023, at 10:25 a.m. at the White Oak Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Mark's memory, honoring his generous spirit. Mark leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever inspire those who knew him. As his family lovingly expressed, "We will always love you forever." He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
