Mark Norelli

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mark Norelli, who left us on July 17, 2026, after a brief illness. Born on April 22, 1958, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, Mark's vibrant spirit and infectious energy touched everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Mark was the beloved husband of Melanie (Pensenstadler) Norelli, married on September 5, 1987 in Glassport, PA. Together, they raised their son, Joseph Norelli, and they shared 39 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and innumerable cherished memories. Mark's journey began at Belle Vernon High School, where he demonstrated early leadership potential as Senior Class President, graduating in 1976. His career was as diverse and dynamic as his personality. A natural-born salesman, Mark spent two decades traveling across the country and leaving his mark on the sports world. He held key roles as Director and Vice President of ticket sales for several notable sports teams, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Pistons, Colorado Rockies, San Francisco Giants, Tulsa 76ers, and the Houston Rockets. In 2009, Mark's entrepreneurial spirit led him to a new venture, where he fulfilled a lifelong passion by opening Javaman Coffee Shop and Bistro. Alongside his wife Melanie, Mark crafted a warm and welcoming community hub in Atascocita and Kingwood, where patrons were not only treated to the finest coffee drinks and pastries around, but also the friendliness that Mark embodied. A passionate Pittsburgh sports fan and small business enthusiast, Mark was always eager to engage in a lively debate, whether about sports or politics. His gruff exterior belied a tender heart; as he was often the first to offer a helping hand; providing shelter, support, or simply a listening ear to those in need. Mark's voice was loud and his personality filled every room, while his quick wit and humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Beloved boss and mentor to many in both the sports and coffee business, Mark challenged everyone around him to do and be better. Mark leaves behind a large and loving family, including siblings MaryEllen Norelli, Ann (Norelli) Augustine (Mark), Cecilia (Norelli) Assad, Joseph (Ernestine) Norelli, Maggie (Norelli) Kasey (Michael), Anthony (Mayra) Norelli, Claire Norelli, and Joachim (Claudine) Norelli. His legacy of love extends to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and even great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by his passion and humor. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Mouyard) Norelli and Nicholas Norelli. Mark's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out with love and support during this difficult time. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Mark's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in Mark's memory to a charity of their choice. Mark Norelli will be profoundly missed but will live on in the hearts and stories of those who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to inspire us all.
