In Loving Memory of Mark Ellison It is with deep sadness and heartfelt admiration that we announce the passing of Mark Ellison, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on September 27, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on December 3, 1955, in Pittsburgh, PA, Mark was the cherished son of Leroy E. Ellison and Margaret Ryan. Mark's life was a testament to love, dedication, and resilience. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Elaine Ellison, and his grandson Emanuel Ellison. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jacqueline, with whom he shared a remarkable journey since their marriage on May 5, 1984, in Pittsburgh, PA. Together, they lovingly raised seven children: Mark J. Ellison II, Collin, Ian, Quentin, Vashti, Anastasia, and Kieran. Mark was a proud grandfather to eighteen grandchildren: Taya, Mark Ellison III, Johnathan, Marcus Juarez, Michael Rabb, Sophia Ellison, Alexander Mendoza, Zachary Mendoza, Kihanna, Quentin Ellison II, Emma, Shafir Smith, Dashawn Peavy, Za'niya Jones, Payton Jones, Gabriel Jones, and Willow Sanford. He also leaves behind a great-grandson, Daniel Ellison, who carries forward his legacy. A man of intellect and skill, Mark earned an Associate's Degree in Architectural Engineering from Triangle Tech and completed an Apprenticeship Program at Maine Maritime Academy. His career as a structural engineer contractor spanned approximately 30 years, during which he contributed his expertise and passion to countless projects. Mark's life was enriched by his passions. He found joy in strumming his guitar, cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending precious moments with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. In addition to his immediate family, Mark is survived by his siblings, Dennis and Mary Beth Ellison, who hold fond memories of their shared upbringing and lifelong bonds.
