Mark Keith Tabor

April 30, 1955 — April 2, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Mark Keith Tabor. Born on April 30, 1955, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Mark departed this world on April 2, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his devoted wife, Pamela, at their home. Mark's journey through life was a testament to dedication, service, and love. The beloved son of Anthony Rudolph and Mildred Viola Tabor, he was deeply rooted in his community, where he made an indelible impact. Mark leaves behind his cherished wife of 47 years, Pamela, who stood by him through every triumph and trial. Together, they built a beautiful family, including their children—Anthony Jacob Tabor of Atlanta, Mark Shane Tabor of North Little Rock, and Nicole, alongside her husband Brian Bolton. Mark's legacy extends to his adored grandchildren, Paisley, Brody, and Stella-Kate Tabor of Cabot, who filled his life with joy and laughter. His beloved niece Raven, her husband Jason, and their children, Emma and Cohen Kendall, whom he considered honorary grandchildren, were also central to his life. Mark's career was marked by bravery and leadership. He served as a Lieutenant for the North Little Rock Police Department, where he commanded the SWAT Team and served as a sniper. His pioneering spirit led him to establish the North Little Rock K-9 Unit, where he worked as a handler and trainer, and he was an invaluable member of the Narcotics Unit. His dedication to security and safety extended to his role as Assistant Federal Security Director of Law Enforcement with Homeland Security, as a Federal Air Marshal, and as part of the FBI Anti-Terrorism Task Force. Outside of his professional life, Mark was a man of many passions. He was a drag car racer, hunter, motorcyclist, scuba diver, golfer, white water rafter, and rappeller—activities that spoke to his adventurous spirit and zest for life. He was a man of humor and humility, honesty and generosity, and he carried these qualities into every interaction, whether with friends, family, or strangers. Mark was actively involved in his community through his work on the security team at his church, feeding the homeless, and as a member of the Blue Knights. His life was a testament to faithfulness and neighborliness, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. A service to celebrate Mark's remarkable life will be held on April 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Roller-Owens, located at 5509 John F Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, AR 72116. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mark's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at www2.breakthrought1d.org or to the North Little Rock Police Canine Foundation. As we reflect on Mark's life, we hold dear the message from his family: "May the work I have done speak for me and the life I have led." Mark's legacy of love, courage, and compassion will continue to inspire and guide us all.
