MARK JOHN ROYCE LINDSAY

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mark John Royce Lindsay, a cherished son, devoted father and grandfather, and a beloved friend to many. Mark passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, humor, and unwavering kindness. Mark was born on May 6, 1966, in Seattle, Washington, to Royce and Fran Lindsay. Raised in a family that valued hard work and compassion, Mark embodied these qualities throughout his life. Though preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Cleo Lindsay & James and Elsie McCabe, Mark's enduring spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his loving parents, Royce and Judy Lindsay, and Fran Lindsay, who treasure the memories of their dear son. Mark's pride and joy were his children: Joseph Lindsay, John Stone, Mikaela Stone, and Ryan Stone. As a grandfather, Mark adored spending time with his grandsons, Jacob Stone and Jamison Dean, creating cherished memories that will be lovingly remembered. Mark is also survived by his siblings, Jason Lindsay, Cara Pabst, and Rusty Lindsay, who shared countless adventures and a deep familial bond. His ex-wife, Laurie Lindsay, and many special friends hold fond memories of Mark's vibrant presence and infectious laughter. Throughout his career, Mark explored a variety of industries, including logging, construction, and flooring installation. Yet, he found his true calling and greatest joy working for Fred Wahl Marine Construction, where his hard work and dedication left a lasting impact. An avid outdoorsman, Mark found solace and excitement in nature. His weekends were filled with dune rides on the "Chicken Coop," exploring the Elliott Forest, and wakeboarding on the lake in his younger days. Above all, his happiest moments were spent with his grandsons, Jacob and Jamison, whether mowing the lawn, riding in the excavator, or simply enjoying a favorite TV show together. Remembered for his remarkable sense of humor, Mark's playful pranks, like "Hey, you dropped your pocket," and his love for jokes brought smiles to countless faces. His generous spirit knew no bounds; he was always ready to lend a hand, whether pulling someone out of a muddy patch or offering a place to stay. A memorial service to celebrate Mark's life will be held on August 29, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Winchester Bay Community Center, located at 635 Broadway Ave, Winchester Bay, OR. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the remarkable life of a man who touched so many. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Mark's memory. His kindness, humor, and love will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
