Mark Hamilton Sr, born on February 24, 1959, in Chicago, Mark was a beacon of joy and laughter, known for his infectious humor and generous spirit. He was the beloved son of John Hamilton Sr and Jennie Mae Parker Hamilton, both of whom predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by his cherished wife, Cynthia Shields Hamilton, his brother, James riney,John Hamilton Jr, and his sisters, Margie Hamilton and Marion Hamilton ,patrinka Jackson the mother of his children
Mark is survived by his loving children, Wakeya Hamilton, Mark Hamilton Jr, and Idella Hamilton, His brothers Arthur Jones Sr (Doris), Amos brown along with a close-knit circle of nieces, nephews ,family and friends who will deeply miss his warmth and wit. He leaves behind one grandchild Jabar Walter jr and two great-grandchildren Jamir Walter , Jaire Walter who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and laughter.
Educated at Simeon High School, Mark spent over two decades working as a dedicated machine operator at Griffith Laboratory, a place where he cultivated strong friendships and retired with fond memories. Throughout his life, Mark was a passionate sports enthusiast, with a particular love for football and an unwavering loyalty to the Chicago Bears.
His early years were enriched by his attendance at Ward Memorial Baptist Church in Chicago, where he began cultivating the strong moral foundation and community spirit that characterized his life. Mark was a hard-working man, always ready to lend a helping hand. He was the kind of person who would literally give you the coat off his back, a testament to his selflessness and generosity.
In 2002, Mark married the love of his life, Cynthia, in their hometown of Chicago. Although they had no children together, they shared their home with a beloved fur baby named Vegas, who brought them immense joy.
Mark Hamilton Sr will be remembered as a man who embraced life with laughter and love, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, a reminder of the profound impact one life can have on countless others.
