Mark Gaylon Williams

Mark Gaylon Williams, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026. Born on August 14, 1961, at Egland AFB in Alexandria, Louisiana, Mark led a life marked by service, dedication, and love. Mark was the son of Junious and Betty McNeil, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted siblings, Michael W. Williams and Beverly M. Williams-Rackley, and his cherished son, Myles Taylor, who was his pride and joy. In 1983, Mark embarked on a distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force, where he served until 1992. Rising to the rank of Sergeant, he was stationed in various parts of the world, including Germany, South Korea, Wyoming, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Throughout his service, Mark was recognized with several medals of commendation and achievement, reflecting his commitment and excellence in duty. Mark's life will be celebrated on September 19, 2026, at Berry & Gardener Funeral Home, located at 1300 34th Ave., Meridian, MS, 39301. Friends and family are invited to honor his memory and share in the stories of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Mark's spirit of generosity and care for others.
