Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on December 12, 1962, Mark was a man whose life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his loved ones and his relentless work ethic. Mark was the cherished son of Lucille Duckett and Robert Austin, both of whom instilled in him the values of kindness and perseverance that marked every step of his journey. Though he is predeceased by Pastor Russell Coris, whose guidance he deeply appreciated, Mark leaves behind a loving partner, Joy Cole, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. A proud member of St. Vincent de Paul, Mark dedicated much of his life to service and community, always seeking ways to uplift and support those around him. His commitment to hard work was evident in all that he did, whether it was in his professional endeavors or his personal projects. Mark's hands were never idle, and his heart was always open. Mark's legacy extends through his five cherished grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and inspiration for him. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and was always eager to share stories of their achievements with anyone who would listen. A service to honor Mark’s life will be held on December 9, 2024, at 10:54 PM at the Paul R. Ajac Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the remarkable life he led and the indelible mark he left on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
