It is with profound sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Mark Anthony McIntyre, who left this world peacefully on April 20, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. Born on May 24, 1970, in the serene town of Loving, New Mexico, Mark’s journey through life was a testament to love, dedication, and resilience. Mark was a beloved son to John McIntyre and the late Edwarda McIntyre, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion. He was predeceased by his cherished mother and his loyal canine companion, Skipper-Jack. Mark’s legacy lives on through a family that cherished him deeply: his father, John M. McIntyre; his brothers, Chris J. McIntyre, Lyle McIntyre, and John McIntyre; and his sister, Melanie L. Villaran. He was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews, including Gage, Caitlyn, Marissa, Sebastian, Sydney, Bradley, Reyna, Dominick, Damion (DJ), Jonathan, and Stella. His family extended further to his in-laws, Coleen, Erick, Misty, and Jesserene, as well as his beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Aunt Belen, Uncle Andy, Aunt Nora, and cousins Kenny, Nathan, and Johnny. Mark’s circle of love and friendship was vast, encompassing numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Mark was a proud graduate of Pine Forrest High School, where he completed his education through the 12th grade. His career spanned various trades, including masonry, landscaping, and construction, where he was known as an expert. His commitment to his work was unparalleled, showcasing a work ethic that surpassed expectations and inspired those around him. A man of many passions, Mark found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. His first love was undoubtedly his family, whom he cherished above all else. He was an avid surfer, finding peace in the rhythm of the ocean waves, and a lover of beach life and music. Mark had a keen interest in astrology, often spending nights gazing at the moon and stars, contemplating the mysteries of the universe. He was known for his intellectual conversations and love of history, always eager to learn and share knowledge. Mark was an active member of the Little Flower Catholic Church and the Boy Scouts of America, where he fostered community and camaraderie. He had a particular fondness for McGuire's Irish Pub St. Patrick’s 5K Run, which he participated in every year, embodying his competitive spirit and love for community events. Those who knew Mark will remember his unstoppable love for family and friends, his unyielding work ethic, and his determination to tackle challenges head-on. Though he sometimes made choices that weren’t the best, his heart was always in the right place, full of love and generosity. As we bid farewell to Mark, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. A memorial service will be held to honor Mark’s life and legacy, with details forthcoming.
